Ideal for Student Art Projects

This Pacon 4927 fine art paper is designed for pre-K and grade-school students. The 12" x 18" sheets provide ample space for classroom creations. Each pack contains 50 sheets of heavyweight 90 lb watercolor paper. The vellum finish offers a suitable texture for young artists.

Upgrade from Lightweight Construction Paper

Standard lightweight paper buckles when wet media is applied, limiting technique exploration. This 190 g/m2 stock accepts watercolour, tempera, and mixed media without warping. The acid-free composition prevents the yellowing and fading common in cheaper alternatives. The jump is worth it when artwork needs to survive handling and display over time.

Handles Wet Media with 50-Sheet Capacity

The 90 lb basis weight comfortably supports washes, blending, and layered mixed media techniques. Sheets measure 12.00" x 18.00", giving students room for broad strokes or detailed studies. A 50-sheet pack supplies a full classroom for multiple sessions. Very large mural projects or professional archival requirements exceed the intended student-grade scope.

Questions about this item

Will the 12" x 18" sheets fit in a standard portfolio or flat file drawer?

Each sheet measures 12.00 by 18.00 inches, so it fits any portfolio or flat file drawer that accepts that exact format.

Do I need to stretch or tape the 90 lb vellum surface before applying heavy watercolor washes?

The 90 lb weight and 190 g/m² density handle wet media without buckling, so stretching or taping is not required for typical student washes.

How long will the acid-free sheets resist yellowing in normal classroom storage?

Acid-free construction prevents yellowing and fading, preserving artwork for years under typical indoor conditions.
