Paper weight

The roll is supplied as 48 lb stock while the manufacturer highlights reference 50 lb stock for the same product line. Buyers who need a guaranteed minimum basis weight should verify which figure applies to their order before purchasing.

Wet media handling

The textured side absorbs water-colour, tempera and acrylics without breaking up during extended painting sessions. The smooth side accepts felt pens and finger paint cleanly, so the roll supports mixed-media work over long periods without surface failure.

Questions about this item

What does the 48 lb weight mean once the roll is on the easel?

The 48 lb rating indicates a sturdy, heavyweight Kraft sheet that resists tearing when wet media are applied and stays flat on a wall or floor easel.

How does the Duo-Finish surface affect the choice of art media?

One side is smooth for felt pens and finger paint; the reverse has a toothy texture that grips wet chalk, water-colour, tempera and acrylics.

What floor or wall space is needed to mount the 36 in wide roll?

The roll measures 36 inches wide, so allow at least that width plus a few inches of clearance for a cutter or dispenser.
