A dieless crimper that handles 14 to 28 AWG wires and includes a built-in cutter for butt-insulated, D-Sub and open-barrel terminals
The Paladin PA1176 is a dieless crimping tool built for electrical terminal work. It accepts wire sizes from 14 to 28 AWG and handles butt-insulated connectors, D-Sub contacts, open barrel connectors and telephone piercing spade lugs. A heavy-duty ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip during repeated use. The 7-1/4 in tool includes an integrated wire cutter.
Electricians and low-voltage technicians terminating datacomm terminals will find the range covers common signal and control wires. The dieless mechanism removes the need to swap dies between connector styles. Users who need a built-in wire stripper or an insulated frame should look at other models. The tool is not rated for maximum crimping force specifications.
The single specification that decides fit is the 14 to 28 AWG crimping capacity across the listed connector types. If your connectors and wire gauges fall inside this range the PA1176 will crimp them without die changes. If you work outside this gauge range or need force-rated crimps, this tool will not meet the requirement.
