Compact 4K camcorder for mobile creators

The Panasonic HC-X1200 is a lightweight professional camcorder that records UHD 4K60 video at 100 Mb/s using a 1/2.5" 8.29MP MOS sensor and HEVC codec. Its integrated 25mm wide-angle lens reaches 600mm telephoto with a 24x optical zoom and 48x digital i.ZOOM in Full HD. Dual SD card slots support simultaneous or relay recording for extended shoots.

Ready to shoot with included accessories

The bundle adds a large padded case, 64GB UHS-I card, cleaning kit, HDMI cable, 62mm UV filter, card wallet and reader so the kit works straight from the box. Mount the lens hood, insert the charged 5900mAh battery and a memory card, then power on. The only common issue is forgetting to format both cards in-camera before relay recording, which can interrupt a long take.

Ideal for event and documentary work

Built-in ND filters, dual card slots, HDMI output, XLR audio input with phantom power and a headphone jack suit run-and-gun videographers who need long battery life and professional connections. Buyers who need internal raw recording, a larger sensor for low light, or a shoulder-mount form factor should look at a different class of camera.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the camcorder is recording UHD 4K at 60 fps and 100 Mb/s after setup?

Open the recording menu and confirm the resolution shows UHD 4K60 and the bit-rate setting reads 100 Mb/s; the LCD will display the active codec as HEVC while recording.

What accessories are included in the bundle and what must I purchase separately?

The bundle supplies the HC-X1200 camcorder, a 5900mAh battery, lens hood, large padded case, 64GB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC card, cleaning kit, HDMI cable, 62mm UV filter, card wallet and card reader; only extra SD cards or spare batteries are optional additions.

Which recording format should I choose between UHD 4K60, Full HD 120 fps and MP4/AVCHD for my project?

Select UHD 4K60 at 100 Mb/s for maximum detail, Full HD 120/100 fps for super slow-motion playback, or MP4/AVCHD when you need smaller files or broader compatibility.
