Wide 24mm f/1.8 L-mount lens with fast silent AF, minimal focus breathing and dust/splash/freeze resistance, bundled with a VEO 3 GO 235AB tripod and accessory kit
The Panasonic LUMIX S 24mm F1.8 is a large-aperture wide-angle lens built for full-frame L-mount cameras. Its optical design uses 12 elements in 11 groups, including three aspherical, three ED and one UED lens to control aberrations. The F1.8 aperture delivers shallow depth of field and strong low-light performance. A consistent control layout and centre of gravity match the wider F1.8 series for fast swaps on gimbals.
This lens suits filmmakers who need silent, high-speed autofocus at up to 240 fps sensor drive and minimal focus breathing for clean racking. The dust, splash and freeze-resistant build supports outdoor production. Photographers wanting a longer focal length, a zoom range or a slower maximum aperture for lighter weight should look at alternative optics.
The optical formula of 12 elements in 11 groups, combining three aspherical lenses with three ED and one UED element, determines correction of chromatic aberration and bokeh quality. This specification defines whether the lens meets the sharpness and rendering standard required for professional video and still work on L-mount bodies.

Align the red mounting index on the lens barrel with the matching mark on the camera body, then rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks; the step many skip is removing both the rear lens cap and the body cap before starting.
Clean the front and rear glass with a blower and microfibre cloth when dust appears; periodically check the tripod leg locks and centre column for grit, wipe them down, and apply a light silicone lubricant if movement becomes stiff.
The camera body’s heat management and recording-time cap will stop the clip before the lens reaches any thermal or mechanical limit.
