Full-frame sensor and versatile zoom

The Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX is a compact mirrorless camera built around a 24.20-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor with an Anti-Reflection coating. It ships with the LUMIX S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, covering wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives. Phase Detection AF and 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 stabilization support sharp results in varied conditions. The L-Mount system provides access to a broad ecosystem of lenses for expanding creative options.

Hybrid shooters needing internal ProRes

This camera suits photographers and videographers who require high-resolution stills alongside professional video codecs without external recorders. It records 6K at 30fps, 5.9K at 29.97p, and 5.8K ProRes internally with 12-bit LPCM audio. Unlimited recording and advanced heat dispersion enable extended takes and livestreaming. Buyers who only need basic 4K capture or a smaller kit for casual travel may find the feature set exceeds their requirements.

Bundled zoom and professional codecs change workflow

The included 20-60mm lens delivers an immediate wide-to-normal focal range, removing the need for a separate standard zoom purchase. Internal Apple ProRes and 12-bit LPCM recording eliminate external recorder costs and simplify file handling for editorial pipelines. RAW output over HDMI adds flexibility for high-end grading. Wireless and wired IP streaming support direct-to-platform broadcasting without additional hardware.
