Replacement Lamp for PT-LB78V Projectors

This 220W module fits Panasonic PT-LB78V projectors using the ET-LAB80 part number. It arrives as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly so installation requires no extra tools or alignment steps. The unit is supplied new and tested to ISO9001 quality standards for ignition, voltage and run-time consistency.

Upgrade from a Dim or Failing Original Lamp

Swap this module in when the existing lamp reaches the end of its rated life or when brightness drops below usable levels. The change is worth it if the projector shows a replacement warning, exhibits colour shift or fails to strike reliably. A fresh 220W lamp restores the projector's original light output without needing a new projector purchase.

220W Output with 2,000 to 3,000 Hour Rated Life

In normal mode the lamp is rated for 2,000 hours; economy mode extends the estimate to 3,000 hours. This headroom covers daily classroom or meeting-room use for multiple years before another change is needed. Heavy continuous operation or high ambient temperatures will reduce the practical interval toward the lower figure.

Questions about this item

Will the PT-LB78V lamp module fit the ET-LAB80 housing slot in my Panasonic projector?

The PT-LB78V is a fully assembled 220W bulb-and-housing module built to the ET-LAB80 specification, so it seats directly in the projector's lamp compartment without extra brackets.

What is the correct sequence for installing the PT-LB78V lamp, and which step do users most often miss?

Power off and unplug the projector, let it cool completely, remove the lamp cover, slide the module in until the connector seats firmly, replace the cover, then reset the lamp timer in the menu — skipping the timer reset is the step most often missed.

How many hours can I expect before the 220W UHM bulb needs replacement, and what setting extends that life?

In Normal mode the lamp is rated for 2000 hours; switching to Economy mode extends the rating to 3000 hours before a replacement module is required.
