Fully rugged convertible laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 MK5 is a fully rugged 10.1-inch convertible laptop built to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 standards. It withstands a six-foot drop and operates in challenging environments. A magnesium alloy case protects internal components while a digitizer pen and power adapter are included. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Swivel design with integrated connectivity

The display swivels and folds flat to convert the notebook into a tablet for field use. Verizon 4G LTE mobile broadband provides wireless data access where Wi-Fi is unavailable. Built-in 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth 4.0 handle local wireless links. Gigabit LAN offers a wired network option when a cable connection is preferred.

Sunlight-viewable screen with legacy storage

A 1024 x 768 XGA LED touchscreen reaches up to 6000 nit brightness for readability in direct sunlight. The system runs on a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor with 4 GB of DDR3 800 memory configured as two 2 GB modules. A 160 GB hard drive supplies storage capacity for the operating system and local files. Builders needing solid-state speed or larger capacity should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How does the single-core 2.5GHz i5 hold up during extended workloads?

The single-core 2.5GHz i5 can throttle under sustained heavy loads because thermal headroom is limited in the fully sealed magnesium chassis.

What noise and heat levels should I expect when the CF-19 runs all day?

The fan stays audible but low under typical office use; prolonged maximum load raises chassis temperature noticeably around the keyboard and underside.

Which SIM and account are required for the embedded Verizon 4G LTE modem to connect?

An active Verizon 4G LTE data plan and a compatible nano-SIM must be inserted into the internal WWAN slot before the modem will register on the network.
