Rugged 13.1-inch laptop with touchscreen

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is a fully rugged laptop built to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards. It runs Windows 10 Pro on a 2.60GHz Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB DDR3 memory and a 256GB SSD. The 13.1-inch XGA display offers 1024 x 768 resolution with touchscreen and digitiser pen input.

Suited for field work in harsh environments

This unit suits mobile workers who need drop-shock protection, sunlight-viewable screen and sealed construction against dust and water. It is not for buyers who want higher resolution, multi-core processing, modern wireless standards or lighter ultraportable designs for office use.

Integrates with legacy docks and vehicle mounts

The chassis maintains docking compatibility with previous generations for vehicle or desk stations. It includes a power adapter and digitiser pen. The 10/100/1000 LAN and 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN provide wired and wireless connectivity. DDR3 memory and SSD storage are installed internally.

Questions about this item

Does the CF-31 need a specific docking station or can it use the same one from earlier Toughbook models?

Six generations of consistent docking compatibility mean the CF-31 works with existing Toughbook docks, so you can keep your current station.

Will the 13.1-inch 1024 x 768 XGA touchscreen and digitizer pen still function if I keep using my older serial or USB peripherals?

The 10/100/1000Mbps LAN and 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN provide standard connectivity, while the included digitizer pen operates directly on the sunlight-viewable LED touchscreen.

How can I verify the MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 rugged ratings are active after I set up the laptop?

Boot into Windows 10 Pro and confirm the system reports the Intel Core i5 at 2.60GHz, 8GB DDR3 800 memory, 256GB SSD and touchscreen response with the supplied pen.
