Fully rugged convertible laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 is a fully rugged convertible laptop built for field professionals who need a device that survives drops, vibration and water exposure. Its magnesium alloy chassis meets MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certifications. A 10.1-inch sunlight-viewable LED touchscreen with 1024 x 768 resolution supports digitiser pen input. The unit ships new with Windows 10 Pro installed.

Single-core i5 platform with integrated connectivity

A 2.60 GHz single-core Intel Core i5 processor and 4 GB of DDR3 800 memory handle core applications, while a 500 GB hard drive stores local data. Built-in Verizon 4G LTE and a GPS receiver provide mobile broadband and positioning without external dongles. Gigabit LAN and 802.11a/b/g/n wireless cover wired and Wi-Fi networks. The convertible hinge lets the screen swivel flat for tablet use in tight spaces.

Digitiser pen and power adapter included

The bundled digitiser pen enables precise signature capture and handwritten notes directly on the XGA panel, replacing a separate mouse or stylus kit. An AC power adapter is supplied so the system can charge immediately on site. No optical drive is present, so software loads via USB or network. Buyers needing solid-state storage or more than 4 GB of memory should note the fixed hard drive and memory ceiling.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.6 GHz single-core i5 throttle under continuous load?

The processor runs at 2.6 GHz with a single core; sustained workloads will be limited by that single-thread performance and the 4 GB DDR3 800 memory ceiling.

How loud or hot does the fan get during all-day operation?

The fully rugged magnesium chassis is passively cooled where possible; any fan noise stays low because the 2.6 GHz single-core CPU and 500 GB HDD generate modest heat within the MIL-STD-810G thermal envelope.

What must I already own to use the Verizon 4G LTE and GPS features?

An active Verizon data plan with a compatible SIM is required; the laptop includes the embedded 4G LTE module and GPS receiver, so no extra hardware is needed beyond the supplied power adapter.
