Field workers needing drop and water resistance

This unit suits professionals who require MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certified durability for outdoor or industrial use. Buyers who want more storage capacity, faster multi-core performance, a solid-state drive or a larger display should look at something else.

Digitizer pen and power adapter included

The bundled digitizer pen enables precise input on the resistive touchscreen for signatures and detailed work. The included power adapter ensures the notebook is ready for immediate deployment without sourcing a separate charger.

Questions about this item

What type of memory modules are required to upgrade the 4GB DDR3 800 RAM?

This laptop uses DDR3 800 SODIMM modules. The current configuration is 2 GB x 2, so both slots are occupied. To increase capacity you must replace the existing pair with higher-capacity DDR3 800 sticks.

Will the 10/100/1000Mbps LAN port and 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN work with older routers and switches?

Yes. The Gigabit Ethernet port auto-negotiates down to 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps for legacy switches. The Wi-Fi radio supports 802.11a/b/g/n, so it will associate with older 802.11b/g or 802.11a access points at their maximum rates.

How can I verify the Verizon 4G LTE modem and GPS receiver are active after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Device Manager and confirm a mobile broadband adapter appears under Network adapters and a GNSS sensor appears under Sensors. In Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular you should see signal bars for the Verizon connection, and the Maps app should display your current position once location permission is granted.
