Panasonic White DLP Home Theater Projector 6000 Lumens WUXGA 4K Input

SKU CH-4FY8-19FY3

Delivers 6,000 lumens laser brightness with WUXGA resolution and 4K signal input

  • Image brightness< 1000 lumens
  • High brightness for large rooms with 6000 lumens output
  • Sharp WUXGA detail at 1920 x 1200 resolution
  • Accepts 4K signals for modern source compatibility
  • Laser light engine and 1-chip DLP for reliable operation

Brightness and light source

This Panasonic home-theatre projector uses a laser light engine and DLP imaging to deliver a native WUXGA resolution of 1 920 by 1 200 pixels. It accepts 4K signal input and is rated below 1 000 lumens, making it suited to light-controlled rooms for film enthusiasts.

Interface constraints

The single DLP chip processes 4K signals by pixel shifting rather than native 4K imaging, so fine detail falls short of a true 4K panel. Brightness under 1 000 lumens limits usable image size in any ambient light, and the unit lacks the lumens required for large-screen daytime viewing.

Questions about this item

Which brightness tier should I pick if the listing shows both 6,000 lumens and a spec line of < 1000 lumens?

The headline 6,000 lumens is the rated laser output; the < 1,000 lumens line appears to be a data-entry error, so treat the projector as a 6,000-lumen class model.

What does WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) with 4K signal input mean for actual picture detail?

The 1-DLP chip resolves 1,920 x 1,200 pixels natively; it accepts a 4K signal and down-scales it to that grid, so fine 4K detail is compressed to the WUXGA matrix.
