What this cable tie handles

The Panduit BT2LH-L is a heavy-duty nylon cable tie built for bundles up to 2 inches in diameter. Its 120 lb tensile strength suits industrial wiring, automotive harnesses and data-centre runs where standard ties would snap.

Installing it correctly

Thread the 8.7 inch strap through the head until the stainless-steel barb engages; the low-friction nylon slides easily but locks permanently. Over-tightening with pliers can shear the 0.07 inch thick strap, so apply hand tension only.

Check before ordering

Verify the maximum bundle diameter matches your cable group and that the operating range of -76 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit covers the installation environment. The tie is not plenum-rated, halogen-free or approved for outdoor exposure.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable tie is holding at its rated 120 lb tensile strength after installation?

The tie uses a stainless steel barb locking mechanism; once the tail is pulled through and clicks, the barb engages the nylon strap teeth to hold the rated load.

What comes in the package and do I need any tools or accessories to use it?

The pack contains one 8.7 in nylon 6/6 strap with the integrated stainless steel barb; no separate tools or accessories are required for hand installation.

Which version should I choose if my bundle diameter is close to the 2 in maximum?

This model’s nominal maximum bundle diameter is 2 in, so it suits bundles up to that size; select a longer tie only if you need a larger circumference.
