Singlemode field-polish LC connector for 900µm buffered fibre with 0.10dB average insertion loss and >40dB return loss
This Panduit LC simplex connector is built for OS2 singlemode fiber networks. It terminates 900-micron tight-buffered fiber in backbone and patch-panel installations where a field-polish finish is required.
The connector uses a crimp-sleeve design and ships with a 900µm boot, dust cap and crimp sleeve. Polishing equipment and consumables are not included, so installers must supply their own polishing film, puck and inspection scope. Poor polish geometry or contaminated end-faces are the most common causes of excess insertion loss.
Verify that your cable is 9/125µm OS1 or OS2 singlemode with a 900µm tight buffer. The blue body identifies singlemode polishing requirements; multimode ferrules will not meet the >40dB return-loss spec. Ensure your patch panels or adapters accept standard LC simplex connectors per FOCIS-10.

Measure return loss with a singlemode light source and power meter; a reading above 40 dB confirms the factory specification.
The package includes the connector body, ferrule assembly, crimp sleeve, dust cap and a 900 µm boot; you provide the 9/125 µm tight-buffered fiber and polishing consumables.
Select the 900 µm boot version when terminating 900-micron tight-buffered fiber; choose a 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm boot version for jacketed cable instead.
