Orange RJ-45 Netkey Module

The Panduit NK688MOR is an orange RJ-45 modular insert designed for Netkey punchdown patch panels and faceplates. Its colour coding helps installers identify specific circuits or services at a glance. The module snaps into standard Netkey openings without tools. It terminates solid or stranded conductors using a punchdown tool.

Installers needing colour-coded copper terminations

Network technicians who want quick visual identification of cable runs will find the orange housing useful. Builders working with non-Netkey keystone systems should choose a compatible footprint. Users requiring shielded or tool-less jacks must select a different module type.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Panduit NK688MOR Netkey punchdown jack module, and which step is commonly missed?

Mount the orange RJ-45 modular insert into a compatible NetKey faceplate or patch panel, then terminate each conductor using a standard punch-down tool; the step often missed is verifying the wiring sequence matches the jack's colour code before seating the wires.

What maintenance or replacement will the NK688MOR punchdown jack module need over time?

The RJ-45 contacts and insulation-displacement terminals are rated for repeated re-terminations; if a conductor is damaged during a move or rewire, simply re-punch the affected pair rather than replacing the whole module.
