Panduit Category 6 Patch Cable 6 ft

The Panduit UTP28SP6YL is a Category 6 unshielded twisted-pair patch cord with RJ-45 male connectors on each end. It uses 28 AWG conductors and measures 6 ft in a yellow jacket for easy identification.

Suits standard gigabit links.

Builders wiring desk-to-switch or patch-panel connections at Category 6 performance will find the slim 28 AWG construction easy to route. Installers who need shielded cable, thicker conductors for high-power PoE, or longer permanent-link distances should look at other cable types.

Category 6 rating with TX6™ modular plugs

The cable is qualified to Category 6 transmission standards and terminated with Panduit TX6™ modular plugs on both ends. This combination determines whether the cord meets the performance required for the intended network segment.

Questions about this item

Which length should I choose for a short rack-to-rack run?

The 6 ft length fits typical rack-to-rack or desk-to-switch links without excess slack.

What does Category 6 performance deliver on a 28 AWG patch cord?

It supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds over the full 6 ft run with standard RJ-45 connectors.

How does the UTP construction affect the cable’s use in a typical office?

Unshielded twisted pair works fine for standard office networks where EMI is low.
