3 ft Cat 6a Patch Cable

The Panduit UTP28X3BU is a 3-foot Category 6a patch cord with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. It uses 28 AWG conductors and is built for network device connections in rack or desk environments.

Suited for short PoE links; not for long runs

This cable carries PoE and PoE+ power alongside data, and its halogen-free, booted design helps with dense patching. Installers needing longer reach or a different wire gauge should look at other lengths or thicknesses.

28 AWG conductor gauge

The 28 AWG size determines flexibility and voltage drop on this 3 ft assembly. Verify that the gauge matches the power budget and bend-radius requirements of the specific installation.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 28 AWG Category 6a cable is passing data correctly after I plug it in?

Check the link LEDs on both network devices; a solid or blinking light confirms the RJ-45 connectors have negotiated a Cat 6a connection.

What comes with the UTP28X3BU and what must I source separately?

The package contains the 3 ft blue patch cable with booted RJ-45 male ends; no additional connectors or tools are included.

When should I choose this 3 ft 28 AWG version over a longer or thicker-gauge Cat 6a cable?

Pick the 3 ft length for short rack or desk runs where the thinner 28 AWG jacket eases routing in tight cable managers.
