Cable Identification Labels

Panduit S100X150VA1Y thermal-transfer labels come on a 1-inch core in a 2,500-count pack. They are designed for wrapping Cat. 5e, Cat. 6 and Cat. 6A cables in data-centre and office installations. The white vinyl surface accepts resin ribbon printing for durable text and barcodes.

Thermal Print Durability

The vinyl construction resists abrasion, moisture and typical handling temperatures once the self-laminating flap is applied. No fan noise or power draw is involved because the labels are passive media. Print legibility depends on the thermal-transfer printer and ribbon used.

Cable Diameter Range

Each label suits cables with an outer diameter between 0.16 and 0.32 inches. The print-on area height is 0.50 inches. Cables thinner than 0.16 inches or thicker than 0.32 inches will not wrap correctly, so verify your cable size before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 1" core roll into my thermal transfer printer?

Place the 1" core onto the printer's supply spindle, thread the vinyl leader under the printhead and through the take-up mechanism, then run a calibration cycle so the sensor detects the gap between each 1.5" high label.

Will the clear overlaminate area stay legible on cables that see heat or solvent exposure?

The vinyl film and acrylic adhesive are rated for continuous indoor use; the overlaminate protects the 0.50" print-on area from abrasion, oil and common cleaning agents without yellowing.

What is the largest cable bundle I can wrap with a single label?

The label's wrap length suits cables up to 0.32" outer diameter; bundles larger than that will not allow the clear tail to overlap the printed zone for a secure self-laminating seal.
