Cat.6 28 AWG 9 ft Patch Cable

This Cat.6 UTP patch cable measures nine feet and uses 28 AWG conductors with TX6 modular plugs on both ends. It is built for gigabit Ethernet links in home offices, small-business networks or temporary patching jobs where a thin, flexible cord is preferred.

Suits tight pathways, not high-flex or outdoor runs

The slim 28 AWG construction makes the cable easy to route through crowded cable managers, under carpet or around tight bends. It is not designed for repeated coiling, industrial flex cycles, PoE budgets beyond standard Cat.6 limits or direct burial and UV exposure.

Category 6 rating with TX6 plugs

The single specification that decides fit is the Cat.6 performance rating combined with TX6 modular plugs, which together guarantee the bandwidth and crosstalk margins required for 1 Gbps Ethernet over the full nine-foot length.

Questions about this item

Does the 9 ft Cat6 cable arrive with both TX6 modular plugs already fitted, or must I crimp my own connectors?

The cable ships as a finished patch cord with TX6 modular plugs installed on each end, so no crimping or extra connectors are required.

Should I choose the 28 AWG version or a thicker gauge for a 9 ft Cat6 run?

At 9 ft the 28 AWG construction meets Cat6 performance while staying more flexible and easier to route than heavier gauges.

Will the 28 AWG Cat6 cable still deliver full gigabit speeds when plugged into a standard switch port?

Yes, the cable is rated to Cat6 performance, supporting gigabit Ethernet across the full 9 ft length when connected to compliant equipment.
