The integrated ruler and paper guide help keep documents aligned. A handle lock allows compact storage in drawers.

Punching capacity

This model punches up to 12 sheets at once using patented EZ Squeeze technology that reduces required force by 50 percent. Advanced dies provide jam-free operation through standard paper stacks. The paper guide and ruler ensure consistent hole placement across repeated uses.

Thermals noise and power

Manual operation means no electricity, no fan noise and no heat output during use. An internal chip tray collects waste and empties through a flip-open door for tidy disposal. Metal construction resists wear from daily punching tasks.

Questions about this item

How many sheets can the 2188 punch at once in real use?

The punch handles up to 12 sheets per press, and the EZ Squeeze mechanism cuts the required force by 50% so the action stays smooth even at the top end of that capacity.

What punching standard does the 2188 follow and what does that mean for hole spacing?

It produces a standard three-hole pattern that matches common binders and folders, and the built-in ruler plus paper guide keep the spacing consistent every time.

What clearance does the 2188 need on a desk or in a drawer when stored?

The handle locks flat with a push-pin so the unit fits in shallow drawers, and the flip-open chip tray empties from the base without extra room behind the punch.
