Compact Xeon Workstation

The Partaker B17 is a new desktop PC built around an Intel Xeon D-1581 processor with 16 cores and 32 threads running at 1.80 GHz. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 8 GB of DDR4-2133 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD. A discrete AMD Radeon RX 6400 card with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory handles graphics output through DP 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 ports.

Suits Multi-Threaded Workloads

This system fits users who need high core counts for virtualization, rendering or server-style tasks in a 280 x 200 x 52 mm aluminium chassis that runs below 25 decibels. The 65 W TDP and single 19 V 9.5 A power adapter keep cabling simple. Buyers who want more than 8 GB of memory or additional 2.5-inch drive bays should look elsewhere.

Discrete 4 GB Radeon RX 6400 Graphics

The installed RX 6400 provides 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory on a 64-bit bus and drives up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.1. This specification decides whether the PC meets your display and compute needs; the GPU is not upgradeable.

Questions about this item

Will the DDR4-2133 SODIMM modules need replacing if I upgrade memory later?

The board has two SODIMM slots supporting up to 128 GB of DDR4-2133, so you can add or swap modules without replacing the original 8 GB unless you want more capacity.

Which component hits its limit first during sustained all-core workloads?

The Xeon D-1581 is rated at 65 W TDP; the smart silent fan keeps noise below 25 dB while dissipating that heat, so the thermal envelope of the CPU is the first ceiling you reach.

How loud and hot does the unit get when it runs 24/7?

The cooling system is specified at under 25 decibels and the chassis is designed for vertical placement to lower fan speed further; the operating temperature range is 0 °C to 70 °C.
