Compact Xeon desktop for multi-tasking workloads

The Partaker B17 integrates an Intel Xeon D-1581 with 16 cores and 32 threads at 1.80 GHz into a 280 x 200 x 52 mm aluminium chassis. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 8 GB of DDR4-2133 memory and a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD. A discrete AMD Radeon RX 6400 with 4 GB GDDR6 drives DP 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 outputs for dual 4K or single 8K display support.

Suits users needing many threads in a silent

The 65 W TDP and smart fan keep noise below 25 decibels, making it viable for living-room or office deployments. Dual M.2 slots and a 2.5-inch bay allow storage expansion without external drives. Buyers who require more than 8 GB of memory out of the box or a higher single-thread clock speed should consider other platforms.

The 16-core Xeon D-1581 decides fit

Its 24 MB cache and 32-thread capability handle virtualisation, compilation or server-style workloads that overwhelm typical consumer CPUs. If the workload depends on high single-core frequency or a newer GPU architecture, this processor and the RX 6400 will not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Intel Xeon D-1581 is running all 16 cores and 32 threads after setup?

Open Windows Task Manager and select the Performance tab; the CPU graph should show 32 logical processors active.

Which items ship in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the mini PC, 19 V power supply, power cord, vertical stand, Wi-Fi 6 antennas and warranty card; a monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included.

Should I choose the 8 GB DDR4-2133 configuration or add more memory up to the 128 GB limit?

The system arrives with 8 GB in dual-channel DDR4-2133; the two SODIMM slots support up to 128 GB total if your workloads need extra capacity.
