Gaylord Container for Bulk Shipping

This 48 x 24 x 28 inch Kraft container is built for high-volume shipping and storage operations. It suits warehouses, manufacturers and distributors moving large, heavy or irregular loads on pallets. The gaylord format allows efficient forklift handling and stackable consolidation in freight environments.

Double-Wall Kraft Construction

The corrugated Kraft walls resist punctures and edge crush during transit and warehousing. A full-bottom design supports even weight distribution across the pallet deck. Flat-pack delivery in bundles of five reduces storage footprint before assembly and allows quick deployment at packing stations.

Passive Protection in Transit

No internal cushioning or liners are included, so users add dunnage suited to their product. The rigid structure maintains shape under stacked loads without active cooling or power requirements. Kraft material tolerates normal warehouse temperature ranges and humidity without degradation.

Questions about this item

What internal dimensions does the GL482428 Gaylord container provide?

The container measures 48 in. long by 24 in. wide by 28 in. high, giving a large cubic volume for bulky shipments.

How many containers come in one package and what flat size should I allow for storage?

Each package contains five Gaylord bottoms shipped flat; allow a 48 in. by 24 in. footprint when stacking them before assembly.

Does the GL482428 arrive pre-assembled or do I need to erect it, and what is the common mistake?

The containers ship flat and must be folded into shape; the step often missed is fully seating the bottom flaps so the box sits square and supports rated loads.
