Product Identity

Partners Brand PB199 flat poly bags measure 12 by 14 inches with a 1.5 mil thickness and come in a clear pack of 1000. They serve shipping rooms, mailrooms and light industrial packing lines that need a simple protective sleeve for flat items.

Build And Handling

Each bag is made from transparent polyethylene film that resists tearing during manual packing and allows instant visual identification of contents. The flat, open-top design means they stack neatly on a bench, dispense quickly by hand and add minimal weight to outbound parcels.

Practical Limits

At 1.5 mil the film is suited to lightweight, non-sharp objects; heavier or pointed goods can puncture the material. The fixed 12 by 14 inch dimensions restrict use to items that fit within that envelope, and the clear plastic offers no moisture barrier or tamper evidence beyond a simple fold-over seal.

Questions about this item

What does the 1.5 mil thickness mean for puncture resistance?

At 1.5 mil the bag resists light punctures and tears during handling of soft or non-sharp items.

Will a 12 by 14 inch bag fit inside a standard poly mailer?

The bag measures 12 inches wide by 14 inches long, so it fits mailers with at least that internal clearance.

How do I seal the open end after loading?

Use a heat sealer, impulse sealer, or packing tape across the 12 inch opening; the flat design has no built-in closure.
