Partners Brand SS12020HT Steel Strapping

This 1/2 inch by .020 gauge steel strapping comes in a 940 foot coil for securing heavy loads. It suits warehouse staff, shipping departments and builders who need high tensile strength for pallets or crates. The Partners Brand SS12020HT is sold new and ships direct from the manufacturer.

Before ordering check your tensioner

Verify that your strapping tools accept 1/2 inch wide material with a .020 gauge thickness. Ensure the dispenser or cart can accommodate a 940 foot coil without binding. Confirm your seals or buckles are rated for high tensile steel of this width and gauge.

High tensile steel construction resists elongation

The rigid steel holds tension without stretching, keeping pallets stable during transport. Sharp edges require gloves and eye protection during handling. Standard friction welders or notch sealers work with the .020 gauge, while the 940 foot length reduces coil change frequency on high volume lines.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the SS12020HT strapping and what must I buy separately?

The box contains a single 940 ft coil of 1/2" x .020 gauge high-tensile steel strapping. You will need to purchase a tensioner, sealer and compatible seals separately to apply it.

How do I decide which strapping size to choose for my load?

Choose the 1/2" x .020 gauge size when your pallet or bundle weight calls for a high-tensile strap of this width and thickness; heavier loads typically require wider or thicker strapping.

What does the 940 ft length mean when I start strapping pallets?

The 940 ft coil lets you secure multiple pallets before reloading; each pallet typically uses several feet of strap, so one coil covers many average-size shipments.
