Waxed VCI paper rolls protect metal parts from corrosion during storage and shipping

  • Product typeShipping & Packing Supplies
  • VCI paper protects metal parts from corrosion during storage
  • Wax coating adds moisture resistance for humid environments
  • 30 lb basis weight provides tear resistance for heavy items
  • 36 inch width covers large surfaces in one pass
  • 200 yard roll length reduces changeover frequency on packing lines

Industrial corrosion protection

Partners Brand VCI36WAX waxed paper rolls deliver volatile corrosion inhibitor protection for metal parts during storage and transport. The 30 lb basis weight material resists tearing while conforming to irregular shapes. Each roll measures 36 inches wide by 200 yards long for continuous coverage.

Moisture barrier limits

The wax coating adds water resistance but is not a complete vapour seal under immersion or prolonged high humidity. Protection lasts while the VCI chemistry remains active inside the wrapped package. Once the enclosure is opened the inhibitor dissipates and metals are exposed to ambient conditions.

Roll dimensions decide fit

Width of 36 inches and length of 200 yards determine how many linear feet of parts can be wrapped per roll. Buyers needing narrower sheets or shorter lengths for bench-top use will find this industrial format impractical.

Questions about this item

Which width and length should I pick for wrapping large metal parts?

The roll measures 36 inches wide by 200 yards long, giving a single continuous sheet for big components.

What does the 30 lb weight mean when I use the paper in the shop?

It indicates a 30-pound basis weight, so the sheet is thick enough to resist tearing while still folding around irregular shapes.

How does the waxed coating affect the vapour-corrosion protection?

The wax layer adds water resistance, letting the VCI chemistry keep working even if the wrapped metal gets damp.
