2MP Indoor Dome for Professional Surveillance

The Pelco Sarix Professional 4 Series SRXP4-2V10-IMD is a 2MP indoor dome network camera built for commercial and institutional environments. It integrates with ONVIF-conformant video management systems and includes cyber-protection features. The unit weighs 4.4500 and was first listed by the manufacturer in 2026.

Upgrade from basic fixed-lens cameras

This model replaces simpler indoor domes that lack vehicle and people detection or flexible lens options. The jump is worth it when analytics-driven alerts and adaptable field-of-view settings are required for the deployment. It also adds low-light visibility improvements over entry-level units.

2MP resolution with analytics headroom

The 2MP sensor comfortably handles standard monitoring corridors, lobbies and retail floors where person and vehicle classification reduce false alarms. It runs out when scenes demand higher pixel density for facial recognition at distance or wide-area coverage that would need a multi-sensor or higher-resolution platform.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is required for the 4.4500 kg indoor dome?

The unit weighs 4.4500 kg and uses a standard dome mounting pattern; verify ceiling load capacity and use appropriate anchors for the surface material.

Which configuration step is often missed when adding the camera to an ONVIF-conformant VMS?

Enable the ONVIF profile in the camera web interface and match the VMS discovery port; the camera will not appear until the profile is active.

How often should the dome cover be cleaned to maintain 2MP image clarity?

Inspect the clear dome monthly and wipe with a lint-free cloth and mild optics cleaner; dust buildup reduces low-light performance on the 2MP sensor.
