Printable tab inserts for hanging folders

These Avery 11136 inserts let you label hanging file folders with custom text printed on a laser or inkjet printer. Each white paper insert measures 1/2 by 2 inches and fits 1/5 cut tab slots. A pack contains one hundred inserts for large filing projects.

Suits offices that print their own labels

The inserts work with standard printers and can also be handwritten or typed on. They are not self-adhesive and require the plastic tab that comes with the hanging folder. Buyers who need stick-on tabs or pre-printed labels should choose a different product.

Fits 1/5 cut hanging folder tabs

The critical specification is the 1/2 by 2 inch size matched to a 1/5 cut tab. If your folders use a different cut such as 1/3 cut, these inserts will not sit correctly in the tab slot.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the printer generate when running these inserts all day?

The inserts themselves are passive paper and polypropylene sheets; they add no heat, and any warmth comes only from the printer you use.

What printer or writing tool do I need to customize the tabs?

You can use a laser printer, inkjet printer, typewriter or simply handwrite on the inserts.

Will these 1/2" x 2" inserts fit the 1/5-cut hanging file folders I already own?

Yes, they are sized for 1/5-cut tabs; the plastic tabs are not included, so you reuse your existing folder tabs.
