Red vertical personnel folders

Pendaflex SER-1-ER folders use a vertical layout with 1/3-cut top tabs for quick label reading in drawers or shelves. The red colour helps teams spot personnel files at a glance. Each folder holds letter-size documents and arrives new, first listed by the manufacturer in December 2009.

Replaces flat or mis-tabbed folders

Switching from flat folders or centre-cut tabs removes the need to tilt files to read labels. The jump is worth it when drawers are dense and staff pull dozens of records daily, because the staggered tabs stay visible without fanning the stack.

Fits standard letter drawers and shelf files

The vertical design sits upright in any letter-width drawer or open shelf system, leaving horizontal space free for dividers or out-guides. No special rails or hanging frames are required, so existing cabinet hardware stays in place.

Questions about this item

What size vertical file cabinet or drawer does the 1/3-cut top tab require?

The 1/3-cut top tab aligns with standard letter-size vertical files, so the folder fits any cabinet or drawer built for letter-width hanging folders.

How do you insert the folder into a vertical rail, and what step is often missed?

Hook the top edges of the folder over the front and rear rails, then press down until the tabs click into the notches — skipping the downward press leaves the folder loose.

When should the red folder be replaced if the tab tears or the color fades?

Replace the folder once the top tab rips or the red colour fades enough to make labels hard to read; the folder has been listed since 29 December 2009.
