PENTAX AD 8x36 WP Binocular, Green

Compact waterproof binocular for outdoor use

The Pentax AD 8x36 WP is a semi-compact roof-prism binocular built for adventurous outdoor enthusiasts. Its fiber-reinforced polycarbonate body is lightweight and rugged, making it a reliable companion for hiking, travel and general nature observation. The green finish adds a distinctive look while the nitrogen-purged, JIS Class 6 waterproof construction handles heavy rain and wet conditions without internal fogging.

8x magnification with 36 mm objectives

The 8x magnification and 36 mm objective lenses deliver clear, detailed views of distant subjects. At 1000 m the field of view spans 114 m, equivalent to a 6.5-degree angle of view, giving a wide perspective for scanning landscapes. Multi-layer coatings maximise light transmission for bright, crisp images across varied lighting. The compact format limits low-light performance compared to larger full-size models, so it is less suited to dusk or night observation.

Sealed, nitrogen-filled chassis for all-weather

The binocular is waterproof to JIS Class 6 and nitrogen purged, preventing internal condensation when moving between temperature extremes. The rugged polycarbonate housing resists knocks and moisture without adding bulk. No power source or active cooling is involved, so operation is completely silent and maintenance-free in normal outdoor use.
