Pentel of America, Ltd. .e-Sharp Mechanical Pencil .5 mm Black Barrel AZ125A 12 Pack

Pack contents and intended use

This twelve-pack of Pentel .e-Sharp mechanical pencils supplies a team or classroom with 0.5 mm fine-point writing instruments. Each barrel is moulded from 72% recycled plastic with 42% post-consumer content. The black barrel and lead give a uniform, professional appearance for everyday note-taking and drafting tasks.

Refilling and common issues

The transparent barrel lets you see remaining lead at a glance, and the pencils accept Pentel Super Hi-Polymer lead refills plus PDE-1 replacement erasers. A Lead Maximiser mechanism advances the lead efficiently to reduce waste. The only routine maintenance is swapping lead or eraser when depleted; no tools are required.

Limits of the 0.5 mm format

The fine 0.5 mm point suits precise writing and technical sketches but deposits less graphite per stroke than broader leads. Heavy-handed writers may experience more frequent breakage, and the line width is fixed — there is no adjustment for broader marks or shading.
