The Perle 05091590 converts between a single RJ-45 copper port and two duplex ST fibre ports. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T on twisted pair and 1000Base-LX/LH on single-mode fibre at 1310 nm. The module is designed for industrial or commercial networks needing long-distance links. It operates from an external power supply in a compact rail-mountable housing.

Single-mode fibre with a 9/125 µm core extends the link to 6.2 mile beyond the reach of copper cabling. The ST duplex connectors require matching patch cords and polishing for reliable operation.
