Perle INJ 1000 PoE Injector 30W

The Perle INJ 1000 delivers up to 30 watts of Power over Ethernet to compatible devices through a single cable run. It suits installers powering wireless access points, IP cameras or VoIP phones where mains sockets are unavailable. The unit complies with IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af standards for broad device compatibility. It is a new network accessory supplied in original packaging.

Thermals noise and power draw

The injector operates without a fan so it adds no audible noise to the installation site. Power consumption stays within the 30 watt PoE budget plus the injector's own overhead. The metal enclosure dissipates heat passively across its surface area. Normal use produces no measurable temperature rise in typical indoor environments.

Two gigabit Ethernet ports

Two 10/100/1000Base-T ports provide one data input and one PoE output for a single powered device. The injector does not switch or route traffic between multiple endpoints. Buyers needing to power several devices from one source should consider a multi-port PoE switch instead. The cULus, cUL and UL listings confirm compliance with North American safety requirements.

Questions about this item

How do I install the INJ 1000 POE injector and which step is often missed?

Connect the network cable to the data-in port, link the PoE-out port to the powered device, then plug in the mains supply; the step often missed is powering the injector before the Ethernet links are live.

What maintenance or replacement will the INJ 1000 POE injector need over time?

No user-serviceable parts exist; if the internal power supply fails the whole unit is replaced, and the cULus safety listings mean no periodic inspection is required.

What limit appears first when the INJ 1000 POE injector runs continuously at full load?

The 30 W PoE budget is the first ceiling; once a connected device draws the full 30 W the injector cannot supply more power even though the 10/100/1000 Mbps ports still pass data.
