A 60A MPPT controller auto-detects 12V or 24V systems, supports multiple battery chemistries and includes dual 5V/2A USB ports
The PFCTART 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller manages panel and battery operation in 12V or 24V systems automatically using a built-in microcontroller. It supports User, Flooded, AGM, GEL, LifePO4 and Lithium battery types with automatic shutdown if voltage falls out of range. Dual USB ports supply 5V/2A each for direct device charging. An LCD display shows charging and battery status.
Verify that your solar array open-circuit voltage does not exceed 30V for this controller. Confirm your battery bank is configured for 12V or 24V nominal voltage and matches one of the supported chemistry types. The unit self-consumes 10mA and has a loop voltage drop of 0.3V, so factor these losses into system sizing. Ensure the mounting location stays within the -4 to +122 operating temperature range.
Replacing a basic PWM regulator with this MPPT model increases harvest efficiency, especially in cooler or partially shaded conditions. The step up is worthwhile when your panel array current approaches 60A and you need automatic 12V/24V detection plus multi-chemistry battery support. IP44 protection suits sheltered outdoor enclosures where dust and splashing water are present.

The controller ships as the unit only; PV cables, battery leads and mounting screws are not included and must be sourced separately.
The 60A rating suits arrays up to the controller's 30V open-circuit limit; a smaller unit is only needed if your panel current stays well below 60A.
At 12V the controller can deliver up to 60A of charge current, limited by the panel array's 30V maximum open-circuit voltage.
