15-inch Kraft Roll for Artists and Makers

This 15-inch wide roll delivers 450 inches of 80 gsm kraft paper suited to sketching, drawing and paper modelling. The single continuous sheet lets hobbyists cut custom sizes for origami, easel work or shape-cutting without joins. It arrives new in a compact 1.57-inch diameter core for easy storage.

Handling and Environmental Profile

The unwaxed, uncoated surface accepts pencil, charcoal and light washes without feathering, while the 80 gsm weight resists tearing during folding or crumpling. Being biodegradable and made from recycled content, it suits environmentally mindful users who avoid plastic-coated wraps. No special ventilation or power is needed for any listed use.

Replaces Smaller Pads and Coated Wraps

This roll replaces bound sketch pads when longer continuous lengths are needed for murals or scroll-style drawings. It also substitutes coated gift wrap for buyers who want a recyclable, matte finish for parcels, floral bouquets or table coverings. The jump is worth it when project scale exceeds standard sheet dimensions or when a plastic-free, compostable material is required.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 15 in wide roll on a standard easel and what step causes tearing?

Slide the 1.57 in diameter core onto the easel rod, then pull paper straight down; the mistake is yanking at an angle which rips the 80 gsm sheet.

Will the 80 gsm kraft paper degrade or need replacing if stored for months?

The uncoated, recycled roll stays usable indefinitely when kept dry; only moisture or direct sunlight makes it brittle enough to replace.

At what point does the 450 in length run out during a full-day craft fair?

Continuous cutting for large gift wraps or table covers consumes the 37.5 ft roll fastest; plan for a second roll if coverage exceeds 450 linear inches.
