WiFi thermometer and hygrometer sensor

The PHOVOLT sensor measures temperature and humidity and sends readings to a smartphone app over a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice queries. The compact unit can sit on a surface or be wall mounted without data cables. It is suited for home rooms, greenhouses, reptile enclosures or cigar humidors.

Check your WiFi band and smart-home platform

Verify that your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network, as the sensor does not connect to 5 GHz WiFi. Confirm you use the companion app on a compatible phone for remote alerts and history charts. Ensure your smart-home hub or voice assistant is set up for Alexa or Google Home if you want voice control or automation triggers.

Fits small spaces and links to other devices

The small form factor lets the sensor sit inside potted plants, terrariums or humidor boxes where larger monitors cannot go. Battery power removes the need for nearby mains sockets. Through the app it can trigger connected heaters, air conditioners or humidifiers when temperature rises above 35 °C or humidity falls below 20 % RH. It is not for users who need 5 GHz connectivity or local-only logging without cloud access.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need anything extra to start monitoring?

The pack includes one WiFi thermometer hygrometer sensor with a digital display. It connects directly to a 2.4GHz WiFi network without a hub and needs no data cables, so you can begin remote monitoring straight away.

Which version should I choose for a standard home network?

This model operates on 2.4GHz WiFi only and does not support 5GHz bands, making it suitable for most home routers that broadcast a 2.4GHz signal.

How do the 35°C and 20% RH thresholds work with my smart home devices?

You can set automations so that when the sensor reads above 35°C a connected air conditioner turns on, and when humidity falls below 20% RH a linked humidifier starts automatically.
