Product Identity

The Pilot Dr. Grip Center of Gravity is a retractable ballpoint pen designed for comfortable, balanced writing. It suits students, professionals and anyone who writes for long periods and wants to reduce hand fatigue. The refillable design supports extended use with black medium-point ink.

Deciding Specification

The pen uses a balanced gripping axis with a wide double-layer grip to distribute weight evenly along the barrel. This weight distribution is the feature that determines whether the pen feels comfortable during extended writing sessions compared to standard ballpoints.

Installation and Pitfalls

The pen works immediately by clicking the retractable mechanism to expose the tip. Refilling requires a compatible Pilot refill; using an incorrect refill size will prevent the pen from writing. The metal clip attaches securely to pockets or notebooks but can bend if forced onto thick binders.

Questions about this item

How does the Center of Gravity balance feel when I write?

The pen is engineered with perfect weight distribution and a balanced gripping axis so the mass sits near your fingers, giving a neutral, fatigue-reducing feel during long sessions.

What refill standard does the retractable ballpoint use?

It accepts standard Pilot Dr. Grip ballpoint refills in black medium point, letting you keep the same smooth ink flow without replacing the whole pen.

How wide is the double-layer grip and will it fit my hand?

The contoured grip is noticeably wider than a standard barrel, shaped to fill the palm and reduce pressure points for most adult hands.
