A 6.8″ WXGA double-DIN receiver with wired CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD and Satellite radio plus 22 W × 4 RMS power
The Pioneer AVH-2550NEX is a 6.8" WXGA resistive touchscreen multimedia receiver built for a double-DIN dashboard opening. It targets drivers who want wired CarPlay and Android Auto integration, HD Radio, satellite radio readiness and dual-phone Bluetooth connectivity in a single chassis. The 800x480 panel and included microphone support voice control through Siri Eyes Free, Google Assistant and the Pioneer Vozsis Alexa app.
The unit delivers 14 watts RMS per channel into four channels per CTA-2006, with a continuous rating of 22 watts by four and a maximum of 50 watts by four into four ohms. Four-volt RCA pre-outs on six channels let external amplifiers handle heavy lifting, keeping internal heat and fan noise low during typical cabin listening levels.
iDatalink Maestro support retains factory features such as steering-wheel controls when the appropriate vehicle-specific adapter is added. Six RCA preamp outputs free up system design for multi-amp configurations, while the CD/DVD mechanism and USB music browser cover legacy and local media. Buyers who need wireless smartphone projection or a capacitive touchscreen will not find those features here.

Use a vehicle-specific dash kit and wiring harness; the step most people skip is connecting the iDatalink Maestro module to retain factory steering-wheel controls and vehicle data.
The resistive touch layer can lose sensitivity after years of pressure; if it drifts or stops registering presses, the front-panel assembly must be swapped.
Sustained output near the 14W RMS rating per channel will trigger the built-in thermal protection, muting the amp until it cools.
