6.8-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen Receiver

The Pioneer DMH-1800NEX is a 6.8-inch Double-DIN multimedia receiver built for drivers who want smartphone integration without a disc drive. Its high-resolution capacitive touchscreen delivers clear visuals and responsive control for daily commuting or long trips. The wired CarPlay and Android Auto support puts navigation, messaging and music on the dashboard display. Bluetooth handles hands-free calls and wireless audio streaming from compatible phones.

Media Playback and Expandability

The unit plays MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and WAV files from USB sources and offers a 13-band graphic equaliser with seven preset curves for sound shaping. High-pass and low-pass crossover filters let you tune the output for component speakers or subwoofers. A rear USB port provides media access and device charging, while a rear camera input adds parking assistance. Satellite radio readiness requires a separate tuner for activation.

Double-DIN Installation and Controls

The Double-DIN chassis fits standard dashboard openings for straightforward installation in compatible vehicles. Customisable multi-colour illumination matches the cabin lighting, and a wireless remote control is included for passenger operation. Wired smartphone connection is necessary for CarPlay and Android Auto functions. The design suits owners who prefer a clean, screen-focused interface over physical media slots.

Questions about this item

Will the 6.8-inch capacitive touchscreen fit the same double-DIN cutout as my old 2-DIN head unit?

Yes, the double-DIN chassis matches the standard dashboard opening used by older 2-DIN units, so the 6.8-inch screen installs without modifying the cutout.

How can I confirm CarPlay and Android Auto are active after connecting my phone to the rear USB port?

The 6.8-inch capacitive touchscreen will display the CarPlay or Android Auto home screen automatically once a compatible iPhone or Android phone is plugged into the rear USB port.

Does the box include the satellite radio tuner mentioned in the model name, or must I buy it separately?

The satellite radio tuner is not included; the receiver is satellite-radio-ready, so a compatible tuner must be purchased separately to receive satellite broadcasts.
