8" Digital Multimedia Receiver

The Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX is a digital multimedia player with an AM/FM tuner and an 8" capacitive touchscreen display. It does not play optical discs. The unit includes a license plate camera and supports playback of MP3, WMA, AAC and high-res FLAC files from connected media sources.

Smartphone integration and expandability

Drivers who want wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto mirroring will find this receiver compatible with both platforms. Amazon Alexa is built-in when paired with the Pioneer Vozsis app. Buyers who need a CD or DVD mechanism, or who require a dedicated HDMI input for external video sources, should look at a different model.

Audio tuning and radio headroom

A 13-band graphic EQ provides detailed frequency control, while time alignment and Auto EQ functions are available when a microphone is connected. The built-in HD Radio tuner and SiriusXM-ready expansion deliver clear broadcast options. The single rear USB input limits simultaneous device connections for media playback.
