  • Supports 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards for broad router and adapter compatibility

Dual-Band 6 dBi Omni Antenna

This 10 ft RP-SMA male antenna covers 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands with 6 dBi gain. It suits routers, PCI-E cards, USB adapters, IP cameras and FPV gear that need an omni-directional upgrade. The magnetic base allows quick placement on metal racks or chassis.

Check RP-SMA Female Port

Verify your device has an RP-SMA female jack before ordering. The 10 ft KSR100 cable must reach the mounting spot without strain. Ensure the 2.4 GHz (2400-2485 MHz) and 5.8 GHz (5150-5850 MHz) ranges match your 802.11 b/g/n/ac equipment.

Magnetic Base and Cable Routing

The magnetic base holds firmly to steel racks yet releases for repositioning. The 10 ft cable lets you route the antenna away from metal obstructions for better reception. Omni pattern radiates evenly in the horizontal plane, so orientation changes only fine-tune nulls.

Questions about this item

Does the antenna include the magnetic base shown in the listing, or do I need to buy a mounting bracket separately?

The antenna ships with its magnetic base and 10FT KSR100 cable attached; no extra bracket is required for metal rack or chassis mounting.

Should I choose this 6dBi omni model or a higher-gain directional antenna for my rack-mounted router?

The 6dBi omni covers 2.4GHz (2400 - 2485 MHz) and 5GHz/5.8GHz (5150 - 5850 MHz) in all directions, which suits rack gear that must serve clients on multiple sides; a directional unit would concentrate gain in one plane only.

What does the 6dBi gain figure actually deliver when the antenna is plugged into a PCI-E WiFi card inside a server?

At 6dBi the antenna roughly quadruples effective radiated power versus a stock 0dBi dipole, extending usable range for 802.11 b/g/n/ac links while the 10FT cable lets you position the magnetic base clear of metal obstructions.
