Server rack cable kit for modular PSU builds

This 300 mm extension set adds 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS and two 8-pin to 6+2-pin PCIe cables for server rack or workstation assemblies. It targets builders who need tidy, colour-coordinated routing inside deep chassis. Buyers seeking pre-wired backplane harnesses or hot-plug power modules will not find those here.

Soft 18 AWG nylon braid runs cool and quiet

The 18 AWG conductors carry high current without excess heat, while the heat-shrink-free sleeves reduce bulk and improve airflow around dense component stacks. Flexible braiding lets cables settle cleanly behind motherboard trays, keeping fan noise low in normal operation. No active cooling or thermal ratings are specified.

Cable combs lock each wire in place

Included combs align every conductor for parallel routing, eliminating slack that can block intake paths in 1U or 2U racks. The 24-pin, EPS and dual PCIe extensions reach 30 cm, matching standard ATX board layouts without surplus length. Installers needing right-angle connectors or custom pin-outs must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I route the 300 mm 24-pin ATX extension behind the motherboard tray without kinking the 18 AWG wires?

Feed the sleeve through the cutout first, then seat the connector; the soft nylon braid bends cleanly at the grommet edge instead of folding the conductors.

Will the heat-shrink-free sleeves on the 8-pin EPS and PCIe cables degrade and need replacement?

The individually sleeved 18 AWG construction has no shrink tubing to crack, so the braid stays intact for the life of the build.

At what current does the 18 AWG gauge on the 2x 8-pin to 6+2-pin PCIe cables hit its thermal limit during mining loads?

18 AWG copper is rated well above typical GPU draw, so the connector housing reaches its temperature ceiling before the wire insulation does.
