Universal 19-inch rack shelf

This 2U vented shelf mounts into any standard 19-inch rack or cabinet using its two fixed mounting ears. It is built from SPCC cold-rolled steel with a powder-coated finish for durability. The 14-inch depth accommodates a range of IT, network and AV equipment. Rated for a 55-pound load, it suits small servers, switches and patch panels.

Included mounting hardware

The package supplies a screw and cage-nut set so the shelf can be secured to the rack without sourcing extra fasteners. This hardware matches standard 19-inch hole patterns and speeds up installation. No additional brackets or rails are required for basic fixed mounting. The vented steel surface arrives ready to use with no assembly needed.

55-pound capacity and 14-inch depth

The shelf supports equipment weighing up to 55 pounds, covering most 1U and 2U network appliances and shallow servers. Its 14-inch depth limits use with deeper chassis such as full-length GPU servers or large storage arrays. The 3.5-inch height consumes exactly 2U of rack space. Buyers needing greater depth or higher weight ratings should consider alternative shelving.

Questions about this item

Does the vented 14" deep steel shelf need any periodic maintenance or replacement parts?

The fixed shelf is built from SPCC cold-rolled steel with a powder-coated finish and has no moving parts, so no routine maintenance or replacement components are required.

What load limit will be reached first when the shelf is fully loaded in a 19" rack?

The shelf is rated for a 55 pound weight capacity; exceeding that limit would be the first constraint under sustained use.

Will the 3.5" high vented shelf add noticeable heat or noise to a cabinet running all day?

The shelf itself is passive — it has no fans or power draw — so it contributes no noise or heat; the vents simply allow airflow from the rack's own cooling system.
