Direct replacement for Latitude E-series

This 60 Wh battery fits Dell Latitude E5420 E5430 E5520 E5530 E6420 E6430 E6520 E6530 models. It matches part numbers T54FJ 8858X M5Y0X and the listed OEM codes. Buyers who need a different form factor or a higher capacity than 60 Wh cannot use this unit.

Sustained output with fast-charge support

The cell chemistry is rated for 60 Wh and supports fast charging so the pack reaches usable capacity quickly. Under continuous load it delivers steady voltage for long work sessions without the sharp drop-off seen in lower-grade packs. Systems that require more than 60 Wh for a full shift will need an additional power source.

Rigid pack with OEM latch geometry

The housing uses the original Dell latch profile so it clicks into the battery bay without force or shims. Connectors align with the motherboard header exactly as the factory unit did. Users who prefer a slimline or extended-runtime profile will find this standard-height pack does not meet that preference.

Questions about this item

Does the 60 Wh T54FJ battery run hot or draw extra power during long work sessions?

The 60 Wh T54FJ cell matches the original Dell specification, so heat and power draw stay within the laptop's normal thermal envelope during all-day use.

My Latitude E6420 still uses the original AC adapter — will this 8858X pack charge from it?

Yes, the 8858X 60 Wh unit accepts charge from the standard Dell barrel adapter that shipped with the E6420, E6430, E5520 and E5530 models.

Will the T54FJ fit the older 9-cell bay on my E6520 without a spacer?

The T54FJ is built to the standard 6-cell form factor used by the E6520 and E6530, so it seats directly in the existing bay with no spacer required.
