Splits one 8-pin PCIe connector into two 6+2-pin plugs for dual graphics cards, 13-inch sleeved cable with hook-and-loop strip
This 8-pin PCIe splitter cable connects a single power-supply lead to two graphics cards. It suits builders adding a second GPU to a non-modular or semi-modular unit. The 13-inch (33 cm) sleeved assembly includes a hook-and-loop strip for cable management. It is not compatible with fully modular power supplies.
The female connector plugs into an existing 8-pin male PCIe cable on the power supply. Because fully modular units use proprietary pin-outs at the PSU side, this adapter cannot be used with them. The 18 AWG 1007 gauge wire carries standard PCIe power within the 33 cm length. No additional power-headroom figures are provided.
Each male end is an 8-pin (6+2) design that slides to fit either 6-pin or 8-pin graphics-card sockets. This lets the same cable serve cards from manufacturers such as ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, Radeon, Sapphire or NVIDIA Tesla without separate adapters. The single specification that decides fit is whether your PSU has a fixed 8-pin PCIe male lead.

Slide the 2-pin section on for an 8-pin card or off for a 6-pin card; both configurations are supported by the splitter.
18 AWG tin-coated copper handles typical dual-GPU loads within the PCIe 8-pin specification when the PSU rail is rated for the combined draw.
No, the female connector is designed for non-modular or semi-modular PSUs that have a native PCIe 8-pin male cable.
