Dual-band Wi-Fi antenna kit for M.2 NGFF cards

This kit provides two 8 dBi omni-directional antennas and U.FL to RP-SMA cables designed for M.2 NGFF wireless modules. It includes two case brackets to mount the antenna connectors on a rear slot. The hardware is not compatible with Mini PCIe slots.

RP-SMA interface and cable reach

Each antenna terminates in an RP-SMA male plug that fits the supplied cables. The cables are 10 in long, limiting placement to positions within that radius of the M.2 card. The brackets measure 4.7 in and 3.15 in, so the mounting slot must accommodate one of those lengths.

8 dBi gain on 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands

The antennas cover both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequencies with 8 dBi gain, improving signal strength for typical indoor ranges. Builders needing higher gain, longer cables or Mini PCIe support will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 12 cm or 8 cm bracket for my case?

The 12 cm bracket fits standard full-height rear slots; the 8 cm bracket suits low-profile or half-height openings.

What does the 8 dBi rating deliver in a desktop build?

It concentrates signal horizontally, extending range on 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands compared with typical 2–3 dBi stock antennas.

How does the U.FL to RP-SMA cable limit the connection?

The 25 cm cable links M.2 NGFF cards to the external RP-SMA antennas; it cannot be used with Mini PCIe cards.
