M6 Thread Style Kit

The PISKEKAT set supplies 25 cage nuts, matching screws and nylon washers built for standard server racks and cabinets. M6 threads fit the majority of rack-mount equipment used in professional and home-lab environments. Components arrive new and ready for immediate installation.

Replaces Lost or Stripped Hardware

This pack restores mounting points when original fasteners go missing, threads strip or a project expands beyond the hardware included with a chassis. The jump is worth it whenever a rack build stalls because the correct M6 hardware is not on hand.

Capacity and Headroom

Twenty-five complete sets handle a full-height rack of patch panels, shelves and shallow network gear with spares left for future additions. Dense multi-U appliances or unusually thick side rails can exhaust the supply before the rack is full.

Questions about this item

What thread size do the cage nuts use for standard server racks?

The cage nuts use an M6 thread style that matches standard server rack and cabinet mounting holes.

How do you install the cage nuts into square rack holes?

Compress the cage nut wings, insert them into the square hole, then release so the wings expand and lock the nut in place before threading the screw through the equipment flange and nylon washer.

When should the nylon washers be replaced during rack maintenance?

Replace nylon washers if they show cracking, deformation or loss of tension after repeated equipment removal, as they protect rack surfaces and maintain screw preload.
