SmartFit Single Monitor Arm C-clamp 32" 17.6 lbs

The Kensington SmartFit Space-Saving Single Monitor Arm mounts one screen up to 32 inches and 17.6 lbs on a desk using a preinstalled C-clamp or optional grommet fastener. Its compact design suits shallow workspaces and sit/stand desks while providing height, tilt, swivel and rotation adjustment. The quick-release VESA plate simplifies monitor attachment and removal.

SmartFit System and cable management

The SmartFit System uses a hand-size colour chart to set the ideal ergonomic height in three steps without trial and error. An easy-grip knob controls height from 9.4 to 18.5 inches, tilt and swivel of +/- 10 degrees, and landscape or portrait rotation of +/- 180 degrees. Integrated cable routing keeps cords organised for a cleaner desk surface.

Desk thickness and VESA compatibility

Verify that your desktop thickness does not exceed 3.3 inches for the C-clamp or 1.5 inches for the grommet mount before ordering. Confirm your monitor's VESA mounting pattern matches the arm's quick-release plate and that the screen weight stays within the 17.6 lb limit. The arm includes all necessary tools for non-permanent installation.

Questions about this item

Does the gas spring or pivot joints need periodic lubrication or replacement?

The arm uses a fixed easy-grip adjustment knob for height (9.4"-18.5"), tilt, swivel (±10°) and rotation (±180°); no gas spring or serviceable joints are mentioned, so no scheduled lubrication or replacement is required.

What stops the arm from holding position when a 17.6 lb monitor is mounted at full 18.5" extension?

The lock on the adjustment knob secures the monitor at any height up to 18.5", tilt ±10° and rotation ±180°; the 17.6 lb / 8 kg capacity is the structural limit, not a reach limit.

Does the C-clamp or cable management add noticeable heat or electrical draw during all-day use?

The mount is entirely mechanical with no powered parts; it generates no heat, draws no power and the cable management clips simply route wires without affecting temperature or noise.
