Four-channel video and RS-485 data over single fiber up to 20 km with BNC connectors at 75 ohm impedance
The PLANET VF-402-KIT bundles a transmitter and receiver to extend four analog video signals and RS-485 data over a single fiber link. It targets installers upgrading existing surveillance systems where coaxial cable distance limits have been reached. The kit transmits uncompressed digital video in real time up to 20 km without manual adjustment.
The single specification that determines suitability is the video bandwidth of 5 Hz to 6.5 MHz, which matches standard analog camera signals. Each channel uses a BNC connector with a 75 ohm unbalanced interface and 1.0 Vpp typical peak-peak voltage. If the source cameras exceed this bandwidth, the kit will not pass the full signal.
The transmitter and receiver connect via one fiber strand, freeing the installer from running multiple coaxial cables over long distances. A reverse RS-485 async-data channel is included for pan-tilt-zoom control or telemetry. Status LEDs indicate power, optical link and video presence on each unit. The kit requires a compatible fiber infrastructure and power for both endpoints.

The kit sends four independent video streams in each direction over a single fiber link, so four cameras and their return signals share one cable.
One reverse RS-485 async-data channel rides the same fiber, letting you control PTZ cameras or send telemetry without extra wiring.
Each channel uses a BNC connector with a 75 ohm unbalanced interface at 1.0 Vpp typical peak-peak voltage.
