9-Foot Handset Cord for Cisco 7800/8800

Plantronics C7800HSC9 is a brand-new replacement handset cord designed for Cisco 7800 and 8800 series IP phones including models 7821, 7841, 7861, 8841, 8845, 8851, 8861 and 8865. The charcoal gray curly cord uses a standard 4p4c male-to-male connector on each end. It ships individually bagged and ready to install.

Coiled Length Limits Desk Placement

The cord stretches to nine feet when fully extended but rests at approximately fifteen inches in its coiled state. Industry practice quotes length at full stretch, so actual reach while coiled is considerably shorter. Buyers needing more reach than the coiled length allows should consider a longer cord option such as the twelve-foot or twenty-five-foot variants.

Round 4p4c Build Survives Daily Coiling

The round-profile 4p4c construction withstands repeated stretching and recoiling at the handset and base ports. Male-to-male plugs seat securely in Cisco 7800 and 8800 series jacks without adapters. Charcoal gray finish matches the phone aesthetic and resists visible wear in office environments.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 9 ft handset cord or a different length for my Cisco 7800 phone?

The 9 ft cord stretches to 9 feet and coils to about 15 inches. Shorter 7 ft cords coil to 11 inches, while 12 ft and 25 ft cords coil to 22 and 42 inches respectively. Pick the length that matches your desk distance.

How far will the 9 ft cord actually reach on my Cisco 8841 handset?

When fully stretched the cord reaches 9 feet, but in daily use it stays coiled around 15 inches, so the practical reach is less than the maximum stretched length.

Does the 4p4c male-to-male connector fit the handset port on a Cisco 8865?

Yes, the 4p4c male-to-male plug is the standard handset connector for Cisco 7800 and 8800 series phones including the 8865.
